Read More	The People's Banner (David City, Nebr.), December 4, 1947, p. 1, col. 5 Ralph Welte, Former Resident, Died Friday Ralph Welte, formerly of David City, passed away at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28, in the Methodist hospital in Omaha from a heart attack. He was in his 60th year. One of twin sons of Joseph and Nancy Welte, he was born in David City May 4, 1888, grew to manhood here and was married on June 28, 1916, to Miss Katie Mishek, who survives him, as do the two children born to them, a daughter, Mrs. Wendell Hart, residing in Weeping Water, and a son, Ralph Jr., of Louisville. Also surviving are his mother, Mrs. Nancy Welte, brother Ted and twin brother Roy, of David City; and three other brothers, Lou of Ansley, Herbert of New Britain, Conn., and Paul of San Francisco, Calif. Mr. Welte had lived at Louisville the past 19 years, employed with the Ash Grove Cement Co. He was a member of the Catholic church and the Modern Woodmen lodge. Funeral services were held at the Manley Catholic church at 10 o’clock a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, with Father Hennessy in charge. Burial was in St. Mary’s cemetery, David City. In attendance at the funeral from a distance were Herbert Welte of New Britain, Conn.; Mr. and Mrs. Lou Welte, sons Grant, Eugene and Carl, and daughters Mrs. Edgar Varney, Mrs. Bill Shirkey and Mrs. Harding Jensen from Ansley; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mishek of Kansas City, Mo.; Mr. and Mrs. Barney Robb of Lewellen; Mrs. Louisa Kubista and son-in-law and daughter of Morrill, Mr. and Mrs. Harry L. Kuchera of Schenectady, N.Y., and J. L. Kuchera of Lincoln.
