His... Read More	Ramon "Ray" H. Enright, born February 5, 1940, in Kansas City, Missouri, died on December 3, 2020 while sleeping peacefully following complications from the corona virus. He was 80 years old. Ray was receiving care from the compassionate and gracious caregivers at the Kelly House of Meriden, where he had resided for the last year. Raised in Toronto, Kansas, Ray has always been a man about town, delivering newspapers on his bicycle, working at the local market, haying and odd jobs, excelling in school with academics, baseball, and basketball, while attending the Pilgrim Holiness Church. His playtime was spent causing all kinds of good-natured trouble with friends, fishing, and swimming at Lake Fegan, achieving Eagle Scout, caring for his sisters and brothers, playing pool, reading, and listening to sports on the radio. Married to Barbara Jean Galemore in 1958 after meeting at a local restaurant where she was waiting tables, his pretty blue-eyed blonde with a million-dollar smile. Ray supported his family through management roles in grocery stores and meat markets across Kansas, working 27 years at Hi-Way Food Basket in Yates Center, Kansas, where friends and neighbors would stop by to catch-up, talk sports and get a slice of cheese for the kids. He was a devoted father who attended school events, helped with homework, loved music performances, and cheered aggressively at games. He supported his community through coaching teams, as a member of the Christian Church, and the Toronto Alumni Association. An avid reader, lover of books, and a history buff, which began with his grandmother. Ray is preceded in death by his mother, Florine Ellen Hudson, his grandmother, Nellie Bell (Blevins) Enright, sister Anita Tennison, and brother Larry Williams. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Barbara J. (Galemore) Enright, daughters L. S.; R. C.; B. E. - A. (J); and son, M. E.; four grandchildren, S., J., K., and R.; two great-grandchildren; and siblings, S. G., F. J., and R. H. A celebration of life will be scheduled for spring of 2021, internment will be in the Galemore Family cemetery in Humboldt, Kansas. Memorials may be made to the Galemore Cemetery Fund at 2375 Newton Ransom Blvd., Clarks Summit, PA, 18411.
