Description	:	Ramona L. White, 73, of Mayetta, died Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at the Midland Hospice House in Topeka. She was born December 10, 1937 at Carbondale, the daughter of Donald and Larroine Booker Cox. Ramona worked for thirty years as a cook at the Mayetta School. She was a member of the Women of the Moose Lodge No. 1091 in Topeka. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She always put others before herself. She enjoyed working in her garden and loved flowers and was well known for her red velvet cake. She married Larry M. White... Read More	Ramona L. White, 73, of Mayetta, died Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at the Midland Hospice House in Topeka. She was born December 10, 1937 at Carbondale, the daughter of Donald and Larroine Booker Cox. Ramona worked for thirty years as a cook at the Mayetta School. She was a member of the Women of the Moose Lodge No. 1091 in Topeka. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She always put others before herself. She enjoyed working in her garden and loved flowers and was well known for her red velvet cake. She married Larry M. White on August 6, 1955 at the Potawatomi United Methodist Church. He survives of the home. Ramona was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Mark White, who died as an infant, and a granddaughter, Melissa Cole. Other survivors include three sons, Melvin White and wife Debbie, Holton, Michael White and wife, Amy and Marvin White and wife Brenda, all of Topeka; two brothers, Roger Cox, Centralia, IL, and Ronnie Cox, Lyndon; four grandsons, three granddaughters, three great grandsons, three great granddaughters and a host of nieces and nephews. Cremation is planned. A visitation will be from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, August 19th at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Holton. Private inurnment will be in the Brick Cemetery.
