Description	:	Randal C. "Randy" Jensen, 63, of North Liberty, passed away on Friday, May 18, 2018, after a long battle with cancer. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, June 3, 2018, at West Liberty Golf and Country Club, 1248 Country Heights Lane, West Liberty. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to any of the following charities: Iowa City Hospice, Iowa City Animal Care and Adoption Center, The Crisis Center (food bank in Iowa City), and American Cancer Society. Randal Craig Jensen was born October 20, 1954, in Waverly, the son of Wesley and Beulah Jensen. He graduated from Waverly Shell Rock High School in 1973. He received his degree in Electronic Engineering from Hawkeye Technical College. He was employed at various computer related jobs, most recently twelve years at Pearson in Iowa City. He was a self-taught carpenter, guitar player, and artist. He sold and gifted family and friends with beautiful original paintings and hand made furniture. He recorded a few original songs, and enjoyed getting together with friends for musical jam sessions. He loved being outdoors enjoying nature, gardening, camping, and hunting and fishing with family and friends. Randal and Kim shared a love of nature, creative artwork, gardening, dogs, margaritas, rootbeer floats, and riding top-down in his Mustang convertible. He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Whetstone of North Liberty; one brother, Roger (Judy) Jensen of Badger; five sisters, Judy Johnson of Traer, JoAnn (Mike) Strottman and Sharon (Joe) Anderson, both of Waverly, Karen (Tom) Morrill of Racine, WI, and Diane (Milt) Levy of San Diego, CA; one brother-in-law, Barth Steere of Waverly; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Margery Steere, one brother-in-law, Albert Johnson, and two nephews, David Johnson and Shelly Steere. Gay & Ciha Funeral Home
