Description	:	Highland Recorder August 14, 1931 After an illness of several months, Mrs. Roger Williams, died last Tuesday, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Briscoe, on Little Back Creek, Highland County. She was something like 72 years of age. Since the death of her husband, the late Roger Williams, she had been making her home with her children; though advanced in years, she had made an effort to visit with all of them, as often as possible. Read More	Highland Recorder August 14, 1931 After an illness of several months, Mrs. Roger Williams, died last Tuesday, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Briscoe, on Little Back Creek, Highland County. She was something like 72 years of age. Since the death of her husband, the late Roger Williams, she had been making her home with her children; though advanced in years, she had made an effort to visit with all of them, as often as possible. She was a sincere consecrated Christian; uniting with the Methodist Church, while quite young; and had enjoyed attending its services, at every opportunity. Mrs. Williams is survived by eight children, namely: Mrs. Deliah Waybright, Sam Williams, and Emmett Williams of Ohio, John Williams of Durbin, W. Va., Mrs. Noel of Dunmore, W Va. Mrs. John Briscoe, Mrs. Lizzie Williams and Frank Williams of Highland County and by one half-sister. Mrs. H. F. Herold and two half-brothers, Mr. John A Gilmore of California and Mr. Jesse Gilmore of Highland and by a host of other relatives and friends. The burial service took place Thursday morning, before a large concourse of friends and relatives. Interment was in the Naples cemetery. (Fairview cemetery)
