Description	:	Raymond Edwin Wolfe, oldest son of Rosella and the late Edwin Wolfe, was born in Ulysses, Nebr., Jan. 24, 1895. He died on Feb. 6, 1958, at the Veterans Hospital in Lincoln at the age of 63 years and 13 days. He served his country in World War I. On Feb. 11, 1920, he was married to Ella Gunlack. To this union seven children were born. One son, Leslie, died on April 19, 1949. Most of his life Ray lived in Seward County. He had been employed by the County and the City of Seward. Surviving are his wife and children, Donald of Lincoln, Mrs. Joanne Kipf of Beatrice, Harold of Lincoln, Gene of Bell, Calif., Dean of Cambridge, Mass., and Roger at home; his mother, Mrs. Rosella Wolfe of Seward; two sisters, Mrs. Merle Koch of Casper, Wyo., and Mrs. Gladys Knapp of Omaha; 17 grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 8, at 1:30 p.m. at Wood Brothers Chapel in Seward. The Rev. Donald Nunally officiated at the service. Mrs. Keith Anderson was at the organ and Mrs. Nicholas Bess sang, 'Rock of Ages' and 'What a Friend We Have in Jesus.' Pallbearers were Henry Knobbman, Carter McGill, Ervin Lukert, John Austine, Carl Matthes and Paul Bek. Burial was in Seward's North Cemetery.
