Description	:	Ray Gerald Henon was born to his loving caring parents John Westley and Gertrude "Grace" (Muffet) Henon on Friday May 21, 1915 at Cheyenne, Laramie County Wyoming. My research found no information on Ray's schooling. Ray was raised in the State of Wyoming, he spent some of his younger years as a cowboy on the Wyoming rangeland. My research found no information on Ray's schooling. Ray was raised in the State of Wyoming, he spent some of his younger years as a cowboy on the Wyoming rangeland. Ray was united in marriage to Meta Wegner on December 24, 1935 at Cheyenne. The wedding took place at 9p at the parsonage of Rev. H. L. W. Schultz who performed the ceremony. Ray was employed by the United Airlines Transport Corporation as a test pilot, he retired in 1972. Ray and Meta then moved to Burlingame, San Mateo County California. The couple was active at Trinity Lutheran Church at Burlingame. Ray and Meta would reach out in friendship to the church newcomers. Ray was known as the "Burlingame Hustler". Ray loved to invite his friends to play billiards at his home. Ray was a very strong competitive opponent. Meta passed away in 1989 and two years later Ray married Ruth Marie (Johnson) Cornell on Saturday February 16, 1991 at Burlingame. The couple enjoyed travelling widely for 3 years until Ray's Alzheimer's disease became apparent. Ruth became his caregiver for six years until he entered Ralston Village at Belmont, San Mateo County. Ray then spent his last year and half at Gold Ridge Home at Soulsbyille, Tuolumne County until his death. Sadly Ray passed on Wednesday May 4, 2005 at Murphys, Calaveras County at the age of 89 years, 11 months, 13 days which does not include his last day, he lived a total of 32,856 days. A memorial service to celebrate Ray's life was held on Saturday May 28, 2005 at Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Charles Froh conducting services at 11a. Ray's funeral arrangements were handled by the Neptune Society of Northern CA-Stockton Branch. Ray was interred in the Scribner Cemetery at Dodge County Nebraska. Ray's information was provided from researching many resources and my memory. This biography was created as an honor to Ray by Loren R.
