Description	:	One of Seymour's oldest active businessmen, Raymond A. Morrow, died Monday morning at the Wayne County Hospital after being admitted only a few hours before. His sons noted that he was ill Sunday and he quickly failed. Cause of death was pneumonia. Morrow, 79, came to Seymour from Corydon in 1907 and opened a meat market. Read More	One of Seymour's oldest active businessmen, Raymond A. Morrow, died Monday morning at the Wayne County Hospital after being admitted only a few hours before. His sons noted that he was ill Sunday and he quickly failed. Cause of death was pneumonia. Morrow, 79, came to Seymour from Corydon in 1907 and opened a meat market. He was with several partners until 1916 when he became sole owner of the business and in 1918 moved it to its present location. Morrow also operated a butchering and processing plant. He remained active until the time of his passing. He was a 50 year member of the Masonic lodge and was widely known throughout Iowa in Masonic circles. He also was devoted to the Christian church. Mrs. Morrow, the former Etoile Jared of Corydon, died March 9, 1955. They were married June 16, 1916, at Lineville and were the parents of five sons. They are Jared of Phoenix, AZ, Dean of Des Moines, Keith of Allerton, William and Max of Seymour. Also surviving are Morrow's sister, Mrs. Grace Gale of Minneapolis, MN, seven grandchildren and other relatives. Morrow's death follows that of his grandson, Bob Morrow, by only two weeks. Funeral will be Thursday at 1:30 at the Seymour Christian Church with the Rev. Glenn Brewer of Des Moines officiating. Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery.
