Grant Sr., both of them were killed Thursday in an automobile accident west of Miles City, MT. He was born July 25, 1897, in Licking, MO., and came to Montana in 1917. He homesteaded near Jordan and married Fannie Bryant on June 18, 1919, in Glasgow. They lived on a homestead near Jordan after their marriage. She was born June 1, 1899, in Butler, MO., and came to Jordan to live with her brothers. Mr. grant taught school from 1920 to 1931 when he was elected clerk and recorder of Garfield County. They came to Miles City in 1942 where Mr. Grant was secretary - manager of the Production Credit association. From 1949 to his retirement in 1971, Mr. Grant was with the First Security Bank in Miles City. He served in the legislature as a Custer County Representative in 1954 and was elected State Senator in 1956. Survivors include a son, Raymond, of Miles City, and two daughters, Mrs. Clarke Murnion, Jordan, and Dorothy Grant of Portland, OR. Six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive. Mrs. Grant is also survived by two brothers and a sister, all living out of the state. Mr. Grant is survives by three sisters and three brothers, including Charles, of Plentywood, MT. and Frank Grant of Ronan, MT. Stevenson Funeral Home is in charge od arrangement.
