Description	:	Raymond F. Baack, Jr., 62, of Le Mars, died Friday Feb.11, 2005, at St. Luke's Regional Medical Center in Sioux City. Raymond was born July 12, 1942, at home in Remsen, the son of Raymond P. Baack, Sr. and Olivia (Wilberding) Baack. Raymond attended Gehlen Catholic Schools, where he graduated in 1961. He then served with the U.S. Army from 1962 to 1965 and was stationed overseas in Germany for three years. After receiving his honorable discharge from the Army, Ray returned to Le Mars. Baack, Sr. and Olivia (Wilberding) Baack. Raymond attended Gehlen Catholic Schools, where he graduated in 1961. He then served with the U.S. Army from 1962 to 1965 and was stationed overseas in Germany for three years. After receiving his honorable discharge from the Army, Ray returned to Le Mars. Raymond married Linda Shearon on Oct. 4, 1969, in Le Mars, where they made their home. He was employed for 34 years with Sioux Tools, before retiring in 1998. Ray enjoyed absorbing history, and was an avid World War II student. He also loved the Hawkeyes. Survivors include his wife Linda of Le Mars; a daughter, Susan of Le Mars; two brothers, Ken Baack and Ron Baack, both of Le Mars; two sisters and their husbands, Jane and Len Rohde of Sheldon, and Mary and Richard Pederson of Des Moines. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Marita Shearon of Le Mars; two brothers-in-law, Patrick Shearon of Des Moines, and Thomas Shearon of Olathe, Kan.; two sisters-in-law, Barbara Baack of Le Mars and Judy Ulrich and her husband George of Le Mars; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, William; a sister-in-law, Mary Baack; and his father-in-law John Shearon. Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. today (Monday) at St. James Catholic Church in Le Mars, with the Rev. James Tigges officiating. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery in Le Mars with military honors provided by the American Legion, Wasmer Post #241 of Le Mars. Visitation at the Feuerstein Funeral Home in Le Mars was after 6 p.m. Sunday, with a Scriptural wake service at 7:30 p.m. and a parish rosary at 8 p.m. Pallbearers were Bob Shearon, Kevin Riesberg, Scott Wilson, Scott Mark, Bob Hodson, and George Ulrich.
