Description	:	Raymond Bryan Huggins, Sr, business, farm and church leader of Johnsonville died unexpectedly of a heart attack about midnight Thursday after being taken to a Hemingway Hospital. Mr. Huggins was apparently in good health just prior to his attack which came while he was sleeping. He was the husband of the former Miss Leta Carroway of this section, who survives him. Mr. Huggins had spent his entire life here, where he was owner of Huggins Hardware and Furniture Co., The Huggins Cotton Gin and was a successful farmer. Read More	Raymond Bryan Huggins, Sr, business, farm and church leader of Johnsonville died unexpectedly of a heart attack about midnight Thursday after being taken to a Hemingway Hospital. Mr. Huggins was apparently in good health just prior to his attack which came while he was sleeping. He was the husband of the former Miss Leta Carroway of this section, who survives him. Mr. Huggins had spent his entire life here, where he was owner of Huggins Hardware and Furniture Co., The Huggins Cotton Gin and was a successful farmer. He was active in church and community affairs having served as superintendant of Sunday school for the Johnsonville Methodist Church for many years. He was a member and past master of the Johnsonville Masonic Lodge 365. He served on the board of trustees for the Johnsonville public schools for 12 years and served as a magistrate of Johnsonville for 6 years. He was the son of W. T. and Clara Cox Huggins of Williamsburg County. Funeral services will be held in the Johnsonville Methodist Church at 11 o'clock Saturday morning. The services will be conducted by the Rev. W. T. Waters, his pastor and the Rev. Sherwood Davis, a former pastor, now of Clio. Burial will follow in the Old Johnsonville Cemetery with full Masonic honors will be accorded by members of Johnsonville Lodge 365, Durham Lodge 194 and Indiantown Lodge165 under direction of district Deputy, A. Eaddy of Lake City. The Morris Funeral Home is in charge. Active pallbearers will be members of the Masonic Lodge as follows, W.S. Eaddy, R. Prosser, Ralph Altman, A.L. Poston, G.W. Eaddy and J.U. Hanna. Besides his widow, he is survived by two sons, R. B. Huggins, Jr., Joseph T. Huggins of Johnsonville; two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Altman of .Johnsonville and Miss Clara Leta Huggins of {Arttyville}, N.Y.; two sisters, Mrs W.J.
