Description	:	Raymond Edward Berkstresser, (Berky), 82, of Vesuvius, died Monday, January 9, 1995, in a Waynesboro nursing home. He was born on January 18, 1912, in Shirlesburg, Pennsylvania, a son of the late William E. Berkstresser and Cora (Vaughn) Berkstresser. Mr. Berkstresser was retired from the Robertson-Fowler Construction Company, Buchanan. Survivors include his wife, Helen Louise (Shoemaker) Berkstresser; and three sons, Lee Everett Berkstresser, Lynchburg, Robert Jordan Berkstresser, Lexington, and Ray Martin Berkstresser, Glasgow; one daughter, Mrs. Barbara Jean Ponton, Cumberland, Maryland; nine grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, January 10, at Williams Funeral Service, Lexington. Memorial donations may be made to the Fairfield Rescue Squad.
