Born July 19, 1935, in Montebello, he was a son of the late Albert Lee Cash and Littie Bradley Cash. He was a veteran of the 82nd Airborne, serving 1954-57. He worked at Crompton Shenandoah for 24 years and VDOT for 10 years. After retiring, he continued to work at Sugar Loaf Farms for 14 years. Read More	STEELES TAVERN — Raymond Edward "Jimmy" Cash, 77, of Steeles Tavern went to his heavenly home Saturday, May 11, 2013, at Augusta Health. Born July 19, 1935, in Montebello, he was a son of the late Albert Lee Cash and Littie Bradley Cash. He was a veteran of the 82nd Airborne, serving 1954-57. He worked at Crompton Shenandoah for 24 years and VDOT for 10 years. After retiring, he continued to work at Sugar Loaf Farms for 14 years. His bond with his twin brother was immeasurable, and they shared a very special relationship. He enjoyed special time with his family, rides with the lab, Cody, fishing, beach trips and gardening. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Thelma June Cash; daughter, Tammy Peeling and husband, Mitch; two grandchildren, Sara and Jake Peeling; twin brother, Ralph (Buddy) Cash and wife, Shirley; sister, Shirley Wolfe; sisters-in-law, Linda Schmick, Glenna Cash, Louellan Cash; brother-in-law, Garland Cash and wife, Mary; nieces and nephews, Michael Cash and wife, Becky, Cindy Wenger and husband, H. L., Tonya Doyle, Thomas Edward Doyle III and wife, Mary Jane, Alisa Cash, Kessy Cash and wife, Robyn, Leon Cash and wife, Tammy, Pete Cash, David Cash, Teresa, Brenda, Doris Lotts and many other nieces and nephews and special friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Rachel Moyers, Reginald Cash, Hazel Grant, Helen Campbell, Beatrice Fauver, Hunter Ramsey and Leitrice Carr. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at Vesuvius Baptist Church with Rev. Matthew Coiner officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Carmel Presbyterian Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington.
