Description	:	Young School Boy Drowns in Small Pool of Water Raymond Edwin, the seven-year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bruels, residing a few miles east of Berthold, was drowned during the noon yesterday while bathing in a small waterhole situated within the railroad wye. The body noticed floating face downward in the water by the brakeman on the branch passenger. He signaled the train to stop and with the assistance of several others succeeded in getting the body onto the shore. Read More	Young School Boy Drowns in Small Pool of Water Raymond Edwin, the seven-year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bruels, residing a few miles east of Berthold, was drowned during the noon yesterday while bathing in a small waterhole situated within the railroad wye. The body noticed floating face downward in the water by the brakeman on the branch passenger. He signaled the train to stop and with the assistance of several others succeeded in getting the body onto the shore. The authorities were notified and Dr. Hillis hastened out but the boy was beyond all human aid, having been in the water about an hour and a half. An investigation disclosed that Raymond and three of his playmates in the first grade, which was dismissed at 11:30; had knowledge of this waterhole and hastily eating their noonday lunch ran over to go in wading. In a little while this pastime lost its charm and Raymond announced that be was going in swimming. After undressing he jumped into the water falling forward onto his face, and immediately began to show signs of distress. This frightened his three little companions and they ran back to the school yard, agreeing that they would not mention the matter to anyone. Raymond was a bright little youngster and a great favorite among his playmates, and was well liked by his for his elders for his always quiet and gentlemanly manners. The funeral services will be held Saturday morning at the home at 9 o'clock and St. Ann's Catholic church at 10 0'clock. From The Berthold Tribune.
