Description	:	Raymond Ernest Brown died in a car accident at the age of 18 (on June 8, 1961). His brother Roger Lee Ward Brown was also a passenger in the car and died. Kenneth Wittrock was driving the car, and Glenn Jones was also a passenger. Wittrock, Jones, and the Brown boys grew up together in Sioux Falls and had attended the same grade schools. Raymond, who lived all his life in Sioux Falls and also attended Hayward School, was an employee of Gage Brothers Concrete Products Company at Sioux Falls. All four men in the Wittrock car were killed plus one man in the other vehicle. Those from Vermillion attending the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Lester Gray and family, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Gray and family, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Rasmussen and family, the Robert Johnsons, John Grays, Hans Rasmussens, Mrs. James Brown, Mrs. Ida (Iverson) Gray, and Jessie Rasmussen.
