Raymond was born December 13, 1917, in Butler County near Leon, Kansas, the son of Charles and Susie (Singleton) Pollman. He grew up on a farm in Woodson County. Read More	************************** Published June 21, 2010 - Chanute, KS Raymond George Pollman, 92, of Humboldt, Kansas, died Sunday, June 20, 2010, at Heritage Health Care Center in Chanute, Kansas. Raymond was born December 13, 1917, in Butler County near Leon, Kansas, the son of Charles and Susie (Singleton) Pollman. He grew up on a farm in Woodson County. On January 27, 1943, Raymond married Frances Marie Kinney at the St. Peter's Lutheran Parsonage in Humboldt, Kansas. She died November 20, 2009. They made their home in Humboldt, KS, where he worked as a heavy equipment operator for Monarch Cement Company for 39 years, retiring in 1983. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Humboldt and the men's organization in the church. Raymond enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, woodworking, and playing cards. Survivors include one son, Jerry Pollman and wife, Theresa of Sand Springs, OK; one daughter, Margaret Charlene (Peggy) North and husband, Charles of Darlington, WI; one brother, Hugh Pollman of Humboldt, KS; four grandchildren, Stephanie Lange & husband, John, Deborah Weaver & husband, Dan, Scott Pollman & wife, Liesel, and Neal Pollman & Lucy Choisnard; four great-grandchildren, Jeremy Weaver, Ryan Weaver, Kayla Lange, and Tyler Lange; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by an infant son; and 4 brothers, Merl, Marvin, James, and Carl Pollman. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be Thursday, June 24, 2010, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Humboldt, KS. The Rev. David Meier will officiate. Inurnment is at Mount Hope Cemetery in Humboldt, Kansas. Memorials suggested to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, or to the American Cancer Society, and may be left with the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapel of Iola, Kansas, which is in charge of arrangements. ******************************
