He was the husband of the late Bertha A. (Brillon) Duclos . Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, he was the son of the late Edward R. and Julia (Nadeau) Duclos . He was a decorated World War II veteran, having been awarded the Bronze Star, other military commendations, the Knights of Columbus Pelican award and other civic awards. (RED), 87, formerly of South Attleboro and Swansea passed away peacefully on January 16, 2009 at Madonna Manor, North Attleboro. He was the husband of the late Bertha A. (Brillon) Duclos . Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, he was the son of the late Edward R. and Julia (Nadeau) Duclos . He was a decorated World War II veteran, having been awarded the Bronze Star, other military commendations, the Knights of Columbus Pelican award and other civic awards. He had been a member of the American Legion, Post 312 of So. Attleboro and Post 303 of Swansea, So Attleboro Friends of Scouting, Troop 35, Anawan council, and the Knights of Columbus. For more than a decade he served as House Chairman of the LeFoyer Club in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. He is survived by his two sons, Raymond H. Duclos Jr. of Swansea, and Michael E. Duclos of South Attleboro and his daughter, Susan M. Jackson of Coventry, Rhode Island; loving grandfather of seven, and seven great grandchildren. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of Rita Rogers, Gertrude Brillon, Beatrice Cronin, Doris Summerly, Elaine Monast and Clement Duclos and the late Yvonne Schultz, Cecile Fanning, Esther Aussant, Ralph, Ferman, Clifford and Lester Duclos . The funeral will be held Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at 9am from the COSTIGAN-O'NEILL Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Theresa's Church, 18 Baltic Street, South Attleboro. Burial with military honors will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited. ~~~Published in the Providence Journal 1/18/2009~~~
