Ingram, Clay county farmer who was killed in a tractor accident Saturday, Oct. 13. The services were in charge of the Rev. Robert Smith, minister of the Dickens church, and the Rev. Earl Hart of Pomeroy. Interment was made in North Lawn Memorial Park in Spencer. Pall bearers were Homer Hart, Archie Gustin, John Taylor, Roy Wilson, John Rusk and Ed Anderson. Pall bearers were Homer Hart, Archie Gustin, John Taylor, Roy Wilson, John Rusk and Ed Anderson. Raymond Howard Ingram, son of Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Ingram, was born on Nov. 7, 1895 at Loda, Ill., and died as a result of an accident on his farm on Oct, 13, 1945 at an age of 49 years, 11 months and 6 days. When he was seven years old his family moved to Sioux Rapids and it was there that Mr. Ingram spent his early years. He received his education in the schools of that community. Ray started farming southeast of Dickens in 1916 and had remained on the same farm ever since that time. On March 8, 1922 he was united in marriage to Agatha Hilsabeck at Liscomb, Iowa. To this union were born four children --two daughters and two sons. He went into the United States army on Sept. 4, 1918 and served at Camp Dodge until his honorable discharge on Feb. 15, 1919. He was a member of, and took an active interest in the Dickens post of the American Legion. He was baptized in the Methodist Church in Sioux Rapids when he was 16 years old and he also joined this church. His membership was transferred to Dickens in 1927 where he took a great interest in the affairs of the church and was a member of the official board. He leaves his wife Agatha, two daughters, Mrs. Virginia Johnson and Helen; two sons, Eugene and La Vern; a son-in-law, Leonard Johnson, all of whom are living at home. Other survivors are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. D.E. Ingram of Sioux Rapids; three brothers, Floyd and Glen of Sioux Rapids and Kenneth of Detroit, Mich., one sister, Mrs. Cleeta Hilsabeck of Linn Grove.
