Raymond Ronald Rosol was born on March 1, 1944, the son Joseph and Linda (Poppe) Rosol in Waverly, Iowa. He started working at John Deere in Waterloo at an early age. Raymond Ronald Rosol was born on March 1, 1944, the son Joseph and Linda (Poppe) Rosol in Waverly, Iowa. He started working at John Deere in Waterloo at an early age. On September 2, 1962, he was united in marriage to Janet G. Yost at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. He continued to work at John Deere, until his retirement in 1992. Ray also worked at Dillavou Oil Company. Following his retirement, he worked five years at the Waverly Recycle Center, where he enjoyed visiting with everyone. He was a member of the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Ray enjoyed mushroom hunting, car racing, truck pulling, camping, hunting and fishing. He could make something out of nothing. Survivors are his daughter, Dawn Akers of Waverly, Iowa; two sons, Monty (Tonya) Rosol of Nashua, Iowa and Steven (Regina) Rosol of Plainfield, Iowa; eight grandchildren, Danielle (Blake), Shaelie (Cameron), Janessa, Justin (Laura), Denver (Shannon), Caty (AJ), Zach (Sierra) and Quinton; six great grandchildren, Layton, Ava, Landen, Kyra, Owen, and Kale; brother, Robert (Lois) Rosol; and two sisters, Beverly (Fred) West and Catherine Busch. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Janet Rosol on July 31, 2002. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 19, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly, Iowa with Pastor Drew Mc Holm officiating. Burial will follow in Harlington Cemetery in Waverly, Iowa. Visitation will be held on Friday from 10:00 am until the service at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly, Iowa. Memorials may be directed to the Rosol family for a later designation. Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home of Waverly, Iowa is assisting the Rosol family with arrangements.
