Description	:	Reatha Pearl Stobbe, 95, of Grand Island died Monday, Oct. 25, 2010, at Parkplace Care Center in Grand Island with her niece at her side. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Francis Catholic Church in Ashton. The Rev. Marty Egging with officiate. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home. Mrs. Stobbe was born on July 29, 1915, at Montley County, Texas, to Jose D. and Mary Magdelen (Short) Hall. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Stobbe. Survivors of the immediate family include sisters-in-law, Vivian Smith of South Gate, Calif., Betty Grudzinski of Ashton, Marge Stobbe of Colorado and Louise Stobbe of Michigan. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, including Dean Tremewan the only surviving nephew on the Hall side of the family. She grew up and received her education in Oklahoma. Following high school she moved to California where she met Arnold Stobbe. She was united in marriage to Arnold Stobbe on Nov. 25, 1953, in California. The couple made their home in California for 35 years where she worked as a bookkeeper for Lakewood Country Club. Following their retirement the couple moved to Grand Island in June of 1989. Reatha enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and visiting with family and friends, both far and near. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Henry D. Hall, a sister, Marie Underwood and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, and a nephew, Wayne. Memorials are suggested to the Ashton Cemetery Fund or the donor's choice.
