Read More	SOURCE: Midland Times, Wyoming, Iowa ...October 19, 2001....Page 9 Rebecca "Becky" Petersen Grove May 21, 1952 - October 7, 2001 Rebecca "Becky" Petersen Grove, age 49, of Green Bay, Wisconsin, and formerly of Wyoming, Iowa, died Sunday October 7, 2001 from complications of lifelong diabetes and heart disease. Becky was born May 21, 1952 at Anamosa, Iowa, the daughter of John "Hiene" and Darlene Day Petersen and graduated from Midland High School at Wyoming as Valedictorian of her class. During high school Becky enjoyed being a majorette for the marching band. Becky then entered nurses training at Finley School of Nursing at Dubuque. After graduating as a Registered Nurse, Becky began working as a nurse at a Madison, Wisconsin hospital. On February 21, 1976 she married Mike Grove. The couple lived much of their married lives in the Green Bay area. Becky worked at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay for more than 20 years. Mike died in 1995. Tom Dauber had been her special companion in recent years. Becky is survived by her father, John "Hiene" Petersen and stepmother, Verna of Delhi; one brother, Steve Petersen of Walford; a stepsister, Jill (Steve) Foster of Erie, Illinois; two nephews, Bryan Petersen and Ryan Foster; one niece, Jessica Foster; two aunts; and one uncle. She was preceded in death by her mother, grandparents, and an infant brother. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 11, 2001 at Zion American Lutheran Church in Wyoming, with burial in Wyoming Cemetery. The Rev. Timothy Miller officiated. Friends called Wednesday from 4 - 8 p.m. at Hayden Funeral Home in Wyoming, Iowa. Casket bearers were Keith Somerville, Randy Jacobson, Mark Doll, Eddie Thompson, Steve Foster, and Peter Eichhorn. Gary Petersen was an honorary casket bearer.
