Lang of near Floris, January 1 9, 1908, at 8 o'clock p.m. at the age of 80 years, 5 months, and 7 days. She was married to Jackson Kneedler on September 11, 1852, in Fayette county, Ohio. They came west in the fall of 1856 and first settled in the vicinity of Money church. In the spring of 1857 moved to their home near Floris where they continued to reside til the death of Mr. Kneedler, June 29, 1861. The first years of her widowhood with the dark clouds of t he civil war hanging over all must have been lonely days indeed. Early in life she gave her heart to God and united with the Methodist Protestant church in which faith she came to live til the close of her life. She is survived by a host of friends and relatives; the nearest one a brother, Josiah Martin, of Rivertown, Iowa, one sister, Martha Wilson of Emmit, Idaho, one son, C F Kneedler of Kaw City, Oklahoma, one daughter Mrs. John L. Sawyer died early in life leaving one daughter now Mrs. Thomas Ware of Ottumwa. It was with sad hearts that the friends and neighbors gathered at the Lang home to pay their respects to the departed. The funeral was conducted by the Rev. Sinclair of the Floris Methodist Episcopal church, Interment was made in the Money Church cemetery. Rebecca married William Evans 3 November 1880 in Davis co., Iowa.
