Aug. 19, 1852, she was married to Fernando C. Henderson. To this union was born eight children, all of whom are living except one who died in infancy. Her husband passed away a few years ago. During their early married life, Mr. and Mrs. Henderson united with the Methodist Episcopal church and later in life they became members of the United Brethren church at Maple Grove. Mrs. Henderson lived and died believing in the faith. She had resided in Woodson county forty-nine years, passing away on the home farm eight miles west of Humboldt, January 23, 1919, aged 90 years, 1 month and 18 days. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. V. Megill at the home at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon, January 24, and interment was in the Ellison cemetery.
