Gilmour The death occurred on Wednesday afternoon, at the home of her son-in-law, Mr P.A. Thom, of Rebecca Kilgour, widow of the late John C. Gilmour, in her 89th year, says the Rideau Record. The deceased was a native of Ireland, but was of Scotch descent. When about three years old, she came to this country and her early life was spent in Almonte, but of late years, she lived in Lacombe, Alta. For the past two years she made her home in Smiths Falls, with her daughter, Mrs Thom, and made a number of true friends. Her husband predeceased her some years. Four daughters and four sons survive, as follows: Mrs J.A. Thom, Almonte; Mrs John L. Beatty Banff, Alta; Mrs Bateman Maw, Newmarket; Mrs P.A. Thom, Smiths Falls; Mr Alex Gilmour, Newmarket; Rev S.W. Gilmour, Penetang; Mr A.A. Gilmour, Calgary, Alta; and George Gilmour, Lacombe, Alta. The funeral service was held at the residence of Mr Thom, Smiths Falls, Thursday evening, Rev A.L. Fraser of Westminster church, Conducting the service. Interment was made in the 8th line cemetery, Ramsay, last Friday morning.
