Reginald was born January 14, 1936 in Polk County to Edward and Frances (Bialas) Zelazny. Reginald grew up on the farm in Polk County and attended District 23 School. Following the death of his father, Geen helped farm the family farm with the help of his uncles. In 1957 he moved to Nance County where he continued farming.
