He will be dearly missed by his sisters Barbara Crozier and brother-in-law Hugh, Evelyn Bootsman and brother-in-law Burt; nephews Lee Crozier, Les Crozier and his wife Barbara, Daryl Potter, Terry Bootsman and his wife Brenda, David Bootsman and his wife Yorika; nieces Dr. Laurie Bootsman and her husband Bill Adamson, Catherine Bootsman, and Sandra Litzenberger and her husband Craig, along with their respective families. Read More	It is with sorrow the family announces the peaceful passing of Reg Potter on October 13, 2010 at the age of 83, after his long battle with cancer. He will be dearly missed by his sisters Barbara Crozier and brother-in-law Hugh, Evelyn Bootsman and brother-in-law Burt; nephews Lee Crozier, Les Crozier and his wife Barbara, Daryl Potter, Terry Bootsman and his wife Brenda, David Bootsman and his wife Yorika; nieces Dr. Laurie Bootsman and her husband Bill Adamson, Catherine Bootsman, and Sandra Litzenberger and her husband Craig, along with their respective families. Reg will be fondly remembered by many cousins, good friends, and neighbours. He was predeceased by his parents Lee and Ada and his brother and sister-in-law Roger and Marilyn Potter. A lifelong farmer in the Sunnyside district, Reg was recently presented with a Sturgeon County 100 year Farm Family award. He had a special interest in antique tractors and had an exceptional memory of history, especially that of the people and places of the Sturgeon area where he spent his life. The family gratefully acknowledges the care and commitment to Reg of Dr. John Mulder; the staff and residents of Spruceview Manor in Gibbons; and Dr David Chang and staff of Palliative Care Unit 9Y, General Hospital in Edmonton. A Celebration of Reg's life will be held Friday, October 29, 2010 at 2:00 pm, the Reverend Phyllis Greenslade officiating, at Evergreen Funeral Chapel 16204 Fort Rd., Edmonton. Interment at Little Mountain Cemetery. In lieu of other tributes, donations in memory of Reg may be made to the Cross Cancer Institute 1560 University Ave., Edmonton, AB T6G 1Z2, or to the charity of one's choice.
