She was born April 18, 1936, at Pittsburg, KS, the daughter of John and Lura (Raney) Pryor. She attended local schools and graduated from College High School. On August 15, 1953, she was united in marriage to Robert E. Maxwell at Eureka Springs, AR. He survives of the home. Read More	PITTSBURG — Reida L. Maxwell, 75, of Pittsburg, KS, passed away at 5:52 a.m., Tuesday, August 16, 2011, at Via Christi Hospital, Pittsburg, KS. She was born April 18, 1936, at Pittsburg, KS, the daughter of John and Lura (Raney) Pryor. She attended local schools and graduated from College High School. On August 15, 1953, she was united in marriage to Robert E. Maxwell at Eureka Springs, AR. He survives of the home. Mrs. Maxwell worked at Gill Studios at Lenexa, KS, as a commercial artist, before retiring in 1990. She and her husband loved to travel all over together in their R.V. They especially loved to visit Las Vegas. Together they made a lifetime of friendships all over the map, which is what they enjoyed most, spending time with family and friends. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, John Maxwell and his wife, Deirdre of La Pine, OR, two daughters, Kim Johnson and her husband, Tom of Pittsburg, KS, and Pamela Maxwell of Bend, OR, one sister, Kathy Ward of Pittsburg, KS, four grandchildren, Audrey Meininger, Haley Sanderson, Sean Maxwell and Kristin Maxwell, four great-grandsons and one on the way, and two nephews. Mrs. Maxwell is preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Betty Pryor. A graveside memorial service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 20, 2011, at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Pittsburg, with Chaplain Pete Mayo, officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery. The family suggests memorials to Wounded Warriors. These may be left at or mailed to Brenner Mortuary, 114 East 4th St., Pittsburg, KS 66762. Friends may also leave condolences online at www.brennermortuary.com. Arrangements are under the direction of the Brenner Mortuary, Pittsburg, KS.
