They were the parents of Lillie, Arch, Emmanuel, Gelina H, Horace Lawson, and Willie Atkins. Her husband, James, is said to have died in the Brushy Mountain State Prison in Morgan County, Tennessee. Her first name is a real mystery and a moving target. It is given variously as Relda, Reddia, Rettie, Redy, Reta and Rheda.
