Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Tipton United Methodist Church, with burial at Tipton Masonic Cemetery. Pastor Paul Frederiksen will officiate. Retha was born May 28, 1939 in Jones County to Urban Casper Miller and Verda Blanche (Russell) Miller. She married Gary Eugene Eichhorn on Sept. 7, 1958, in Mechanicsville. A Mechanicsville High School graduate, Retha worked as the activity director at Cedar Manor Nursing Home. She attended United Methodist Church in Tipton. She served as Secretary and Treasurer for the Eastern Iowa Angus Association, was in the Eastern Iowa Angus Auxiliary, Iowa Women's Angus Auxiliary and Hawkeye Angus Auxiliary. Retha was one of the originators of the Annual Picnic for Cedar Manor Nursing Home. Retha is survived by her husband, Gary Eichhorn of Tipton; a daughter, Teri Baird and husband, Al, of Tipton; grandchildren Angela Driscoll and husband, Sean, of Stanwood, and Tyler Baird of Tipton; and a sister, Thelma Wagner of Cedar Rapids. Retha was preceded in death by her parents, Urban and Verda Miller, and her son, Scott Eichhorn. Fry Funeral Home is taking care of Retha's arrangements.
