Description	:	Reuben Baker 1927 Bridgewater Bulletin New Germany, February 11- Reuben Baker, aged 93, passed away at the home of his son, George, Pinehurst, this afternoon. When the end came, a grand-daughter, reading in an adjoining room, with the door open, was not aware of any change until, on approaching the bedside, she discovered that breathing had ceased. Mr. Baker was the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Baker and was born at Chelsea, in June, 1833. He was the eldest of a family of eleven children, only two of whom survive- Mrs. Lavinia Hamm, Chelsea and Mrs. Benjamin Ramey, Humboldt, Saskatchewan. His wife, who predeceased him by fifteen years, was Miss Anna Fancy of Pleasant River. They moved to Pinehurst in 1872 and celebrated their golden wedding there abut one year prior to Mrs. Baker's death. There are six surviving children- Mrs. Stephen Eisenhuaer, North Reading, Massachusetts; Mrs. James McKean, Pinehurst; George, at whose home he was carefuly cared for up to the time of his death; Seth, Malden, Massachusetts; Jared, Halifax, Massachusetts; and Sanford, High Prairie, Alberta.
