He was born in Parksley, Va., the son of Mrs. Sallie Mason Crowson of Salem, and the late George F. Crowson. They had moved to Salem about 20 years ago. Crowson, 54, Baptist minister of Salem, Mass., died Friday in the Salem Hospital. He was born in Parksley, Va., the son of Mrs. Sallie Mason Crowson of Salem, and the late George F. Crowson. They had moved to Salem about 20 years ago. A graduate of Western Maryland College in Westminster, Md., Southwestern Theological School in Ft. Worth, Texas, and Gordon College in Boston, the Rev. Mr. Crowson was ordained in Mt. Holly, Va., Oct. 29, 1929. He had been ill for six years. Before his illness he had been the Calvary Baptist minister in Salem for eight years. Besides his mother he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Leona E. Mister Crowson, a native of Crisfield, two daughters: Mrs. Joan Russell of Peabody, Mass., and Miss Ada Frances Crowson of Salem; two sons, Beverly J. of Natick, Mass., and Edward D. of Salem. A sister, Mrs. Georgia Borum, lives in Virginia. Also surviving are two brothers, Stockley Crowson of Salisbury and Brooks Crowson of Florida. A funeral services was to be held in the home of his sister-in-law, Mrs. Lillie Walston of Lawsonia, at 1 p.m. today with the Rev. E. E. Garland of the Baptist Temple officiating. Burial will be in the Crisfield Cemetery.
