Description	:	Rev. Charlie D. Huggins, Sr., pastor of the Aynor Methodist Circuit and a former state representative, died early Friday morning of an apparent heart attack. Funeral services will be conducted at 5 p.m. Saturday in First Methodist Church in Hemingway by Rev. Carl Parker, Rev. S. M. Atkinson and Rev. C. H. Boulware. Huggins, Jr. Rev. Huggins was born in Sampit section of Georgetown County, a son of the late Charlie Betts Huggins and Callie Bourne Huggins. He represented Williamsburg County for three terms in the state House of Representatives from 1940 - 46. He spent most of his life in Hemingway where he owned and operated an electrical plumbing contracting company for several years. He served pastorates in Marion County, Bowman, Kingstree, Manning, Bennetsville and Jordon circuits before going to Aynor a year ago. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Rena Cox Huggins; two daughters, Mrs Frances H. Tanner of Florence and Mrs. Catherine H. Fleming of Manning; five sons, C. D. Huggins, Jr. and Harry V. Huggins, both of Hemingway, James H. Huggins of Summerville, Thomas B. Huggins of Bowman, Richard E. Huggins of Columbia; 24 grandchildren and two great- grandchildren.
