Description	:	Rev. Frank Leeman Steele, 86, of 119 W. Cooper St., McComb, McComb, died at 5 a.m. Monday at Blanchard Valley Hospital. He was born Nov. 28, 1899 in Dane, Okla., to Asa A. and Bertha (Dykstra) Steele. He married Myrtle Mehaffy on June 1, 1922 in Morning Sun, Iowa, and she survives. He was born Nov. 28, 1899 in Dane, Okla., to Asa A. and Bertha (Dykstra) Steele. He married Myrtle Mehaffy on June 1, 1922 in Morning Sun, Iowa, and she survives. Also surviving are a son, Robert L. of Stamford, Conn.; a daghter, Mrs. Dean (Mary) Ewing, McComb; eight grandchilren; 14 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Ault, Pittsburth, Pa.; Laura Dickerson, San Diego, Calif.; and Anna Jolis, Spring Valley, Calif. The Rev. Steele was a retired Presbyterian minister and educator. He earned a bachelor's degree in education from the University of Iowa, and taught high school in Kansas, Idaho and Iowa. He was a high school principal in Tribune, Kan., and American Falls, Idaho. He then received bachelor's and master's degrees in theology from Omaha Presbyterian Seminary, Omaha, Neb. He served pastorates in Nebraska and Kansas. He was a member of Maumee Valley Presbytery; F&M Lodge 252 and Vashti Chapter 64, both of Stafford, Kan.; and was a past worthy patron of Order of the Eastern Star. He also was a veteran of World War I. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First United Presbyterian Church, McComb, the Rev. James H. Nye officiating. Burial will be in McComb Union Cemetery.
