Description	:	Reverend George Crawford, 79 of Pittsburg died early Friday morning February 27, 2015 at his home in Pittsburg. He was born July 4, 1935 in Barton County, MO the son of Oliver L. and Bessie (Carnell) Crawford. He lived in the Pittsburg area his entire life. Read More	Reverend George Crawford, 79 of Pittsburg died early Friday morning February 27, 2015 at his home in Pittsburg. He was born July 4, 1935 in Barton County, MO the son of Oliver L. and Bessie (Carnell) Crawford. He lived in the Pittsburg area his entire life. George was a veteran, serving in the United States Army stationed in Germany from April of 1958 until April of 1960. He married Louisa (Pat) Warner on November 7, 1956 in Miami, OK; she survives at the home. George worked for the City of Pittsburg for 26 years where he drove the street sweeper; following seminary school he ministered for 39 years, ministering the First Southern Mission Baptist Church in Arma, KS. He and his wife Pat were currently members of the Trinity Baptist Church in Pittsburg. Survivors include his wife Pat of the home; a daughter Terri L. Simmons and husband Joe of Grove, OK; 2 granddaughters Kelcie Bible and Cortney Simmons; and a close family friend James Russell of Pittsburg. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday March 3, 2015 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg with Pastor Michael Hart officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Friends may call the funeral home after 2 p.m. Monday.
