Description	:	Gerald Dean Stice was born October 6, 1923 near Rose Hill, Kansas and died in Veterans' Hospital, Wichita, September 14, 1968 after an illness of three and one-half months. He was raised in Butler County before entering the U.S. Navy in 1943. After returning from the service, he made his home in and around Neosho, MO for 18 years. He accepted Christ into his life at an early age and served the Lord until his death. Read More	Gerald Dean Stice was born October 6, 1923 near Rose Hill, Kansas and died in Veterans' Hospital, Wichita, September 14, 1968 after an illness of three and one-half months. He was raised in Butler County before entering the U.S. Navy in 1943. After returning from the service, he made his home in and around Neosho, MO for 18 years. He accepted Christ into his life at an early age and served the Lord until his death. He became an ordained minister in 1949 at Hilldale Baptist Church, Neosho, MO and worked with many churches during his ministry. These include Clear Creek, Cave Springs, Monarch Springs, Powell and Jane, in Missouri. He also worked with the Baptist churches in Florence, KS and Severy, KS and was assistant pastor at Jefferson Street Baptist Church in Eureka before he became interim pastor of the Cambridge Baptist Church, where he was serving at the time of his illness. Gerald was united in marriage to Martha Hellman on May 28, 1967 and was employed at Farmer's Elevator in Climax, KS at the time of his illness. Survivors include his widow, Martha, of the home; a daughter by a previous marriage, Brenda Wood, of Niceville, Florida; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H.N. Stice of Eureka; two brothers, Paul of Neosho, MO and Donald of Eureka; one sister, Zerita Beye of Mound Valley, Kansas; many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services were conducted from the First Baptist Church, Eureka, on Tuesday, September 17, at 2:00 P.M. Officiating clergymen were Jerry McGee and Reverend Clifton Gunnels. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.
