Description	:	Preacher and missionary Jakob B. Epp. Son of Johann and Margarethe Bergman Epp, was born on the 6th April, in 1874, to Köppenthal, in the tract, Saratov, Russia. Epp. Son of Johann and Margarethe Bergman Epp, was born on the 6th April, in 1874, to Köppenthal, in the tract, Saratov, Russia. Here he attended the village school and spent his youth. On the 29th May, in 1889, he was christened by the church elder Johannes Quiring, and this creed he remained Life-long faithfully his. In 1893 he came with parents and brothers and sisters after Newton, Kansas. Here he attended Bethel college, and graduated in 1897. During the next two years he attended school in Manitoba, Canada, and on the mission, with Cantonment, Oklahoma. Then he served as a missionary under the Hopi Indians, in Oraibi, Arizona, from 1901 to 1912. On the 29th June, in 1905 he stepped in the matrimony with Miss Nettie Harms, limb the mercy mountain, municipality (Harvey County) their loss by the death on the 11th February, in 1913, in Pasadena, California, him into deep grief moved. This marriage became with two children, Theodore H. and Ida Esther, and a foster daughter, Dorothy Viola, blessed. On the 2nd April, in 1914, he stepped for the second time in the matrimony with Miss Johanna von Steen, from Beatrice, Nebraska. This marriage was blessed with a daughter, Helen Margaret. As a Bible teacher and theatre director, he served 19 years in Oklahoma Bible academy (Oklahoma Bible Academy). During this time it was also 5 years of church elders of the hope valley Anew a municipality, to Meno, Oklahoma. From 1919 to 1921 he was a church elder of the Pretty Prairie municipality, with Pretty Prairie, Kansas, and as an editor " of the Herald " he served about two years, in 1921-1923. He has also served at times with Orienta, Oklahoma, and Moundridge, Kansas. As a Bible teacher he worked two years in the Hesston college, Hesston, Kansas. Special joy did his last work as a prayer leader in the " forecastle of To The Bible Broadcast ", Lincoln, Nebraska, to him, and he has also devoted himself till the end to this work faithfully. In 1929 he became seriously ill in pneumonia, and since that time a cardiac defect became apparent. On the 1st May, in 1945, he suffered a heart attack, and from there he became weaker visibly. On the 26th November, he came to the Bethel hospital where he 3:30 in the morning, on the 22nd December, in 1945, passed away softly at the age of 71 years 8 months and 16 days, and waits for late hope and appearance of the magnificence of the big God and our Savior, Jesus Christ. Deeply mourning he leaves his Widow; 2 sisters: Sister Ida, from the Bethel Deaconess hospital, and Mrs. B. G. Govern, Newton; 4 children, Theodore H. Epp, Lincoln, Nebraska, Mrs. E. A. Ferrer, Los Angeles, Calif. Mrs. Arnold C. Claassen, Potwin, Kansas, and Mrs. Selbert Sharpe, Los Angeles, Calif .; 1 daughter-in-law, 3 sons-in-law, 10 grandchildren, together with many friends.
