Description	:	Rev. J. Franklin Arthur, 93, Russiaville, died at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 7,1992, in his residence. He was born Feb. 27, 1899, in Ervin Township, Howard County, to Wilson and Lula Boggs Arthur. On April 30, 1922, he married Hazel Shook, who died March 10, 1982. A retired minister and teacher. Rev. Arthur attended Ervin Township Grade School, and graduated from New London High School in 1917. He attended Franklin College, Marion Normal School, and Winona Lake School of Theology. He taught in Carroll, Howard, Cass and Fulton counties for 26 years, and at Kokomo Bible Institute Evening School for two years. A minister for 60 years, the Rev. He also served as minister at Prairieville Christian Church in Tipton County and Mt. Zion Community Church in West Middleton. A member of Russiaville First Baptist Church, he also belonged to Howard County Retired Teachers Association, Indiana Association of Retired Teachers and National Association of Retired Teachers. He served as president of Barnett Cemetery Association of Ervin Township for 48 years. Surviving are four daughters, Betty Ruth Coleman of Hendersonville, Tenn., Carrie Maye Arthur of Kokomo, Mary L. Lovelace of Russiaville, and Charlotte Dial of Southport; a sister, Eva Rae Buzzard of Logansport; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Two brothers and three sisters preceded in death. Services were held Sunday in Russiaville with burial in Barnett Cemetery, Kokomo. Delphi Carroll County Comet April 15, 1992
