Description	:	L.E. Harvey, 73, of Glen St. Mary, died June 20 at his home after a long illness. The Sanderson native had lived in Glen since 1951; he was the son of the late Grover C. and Emily Davis Harvey. He was employed as an aircraft inspector with Aero Corp. of Lake City for over 30 years until his retirement in 1974, and was an ordained minister who pastored Sanderson Congregational Holiness Church and Glen Friendship Holiness Tabernacle Church in Glen until his retirement in 1987. The Sanderson native had lived in Glen since 1951; he was the son of the late Grover C. and Emily Davis Harvey. He was employed as an aircraft inspector with Aero Corp. of Lake City for over 30 years until his retirement in 1974, and was an ordained minister who pastored Sanderson Congregational Holiness Church and Glen Friendship Holiness Tabernacle Church in Glen until his retirement in 1987. Mr. Harvey was a member of Christian Fellowship Temple and a Navy Veteran of WW II. Survivors include wife Thelma L.; daughter Lois L. Taylor of Glen, son Larry E. of Glen; sisters Lillie Brannen, Leila Prevatt, Mazie Prevatt and Allene Griffis, all of Glen; brothers J.C of Glen and Alan "Pete" of Macclenny; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren. Funeral services were held June 22 in his church with Rev. Leslie Thomas officiating, assisted by Rev. David Thomas.. Interment was in Manntown Cemetery, south of Glen St. Mary. Active pallbearers were Vernon Prevatt, Maurice Prevatt, Marcus Rhoden, Duncan Harvey, Jimmy Griffis and Sam Lindsey. Honorary pallbearers were Fred Raulerson, Harvey Holton, Jimmy Richardson, Keith Thomas, Timmy Thomas and Billy Hall. Guerry Funeral Home, Macclenny, was in charge of arrangements.
