Born in Anderson, S.C., he was the son of the late Barney N. and Harriett Roberts Blackstock. The Rev. Blackstock was an Army veteran of World War II; graduate of Holmes Theological Seminary; founder of Metropolitan Cleaners in Greenville and a member of Tremont Church of God. He was predeceased by a son, Larry Blackstock and a sister, Ruth Blackstock. Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. at The Howze Mortuary Chapel, with burial to follow at Graceland West Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at The Howze Mortuary. The family will be at the home. The Howze Mortuary, Travelers Rest, is in charge of arrangements.
