Description	:	He was born at Hagarstown, Maryland the son of Thomas and Elizabeth Parks. While a babe his parents moved to Lewisburg, PA. At the age of 21 he married Miss Hannah L. Jordan on Oct. 28, 1819. Moved to Ohio in 1836, to Boone County, IL in 1842. Ordained for the ministry in the year of 1846 at Peoria by Bishop Morris. Came to Chickasaw Co. in 1868, located in Dresden Twp. Eleven children were born to this union. He had three sons in the union army, Joseph lost his life there.
