Description	:	Vestal Watts (September 25, 1933 - August 18, 2016) Rev. Vestal Watts, 82, of Greystone Community, passed away at the home of his son Thursday evening surrounded by his family. He was a retired truck driver from Allen’s Petroleum and a member of Peoples Tabernacle. He was a former pastor of Greystone Free Will Baptist Church. He was a retired truck driver from Allen’s Petroleum and a member of Peoples Tabernacle. He was a former pastor of Greystone Free Will Baptist Church. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law: Ronnie and Cheryl Watts; special grandson: Ryan Watts; sister: Gladys Reaves all of the Greystone Community; special niece and her husband: Sandy and Wayne Southerland; nephews: Lee Dunbar and Ricky Dunbar; niece: Penny Carson; sister-in-law: Lynnis Gunter. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jo Watts; a daughter, Kathy Watts; his parents, Walter and Hazel Penley Watts; two sisters, Dillie Dunbar and Lura Foster; and brother-in-law, Jim Reaves. The family will receive friends from 1-3 and 5-7 pm Monday at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 pm Monday in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Amos Penley, Rev. Jeff Casteel and Rev. Jonathan Jones will officiate. Friends and family are asked to meet at Doughty-Stevens at 12:15 pm on Tuesday to go in procession to Gethsemane Cemetery for the 1:00 pm committal service. The Rev. Lynn Mercer, the Rev. David Tweed, and the Rev. Charles Linton will conduct the graveside service. Active pallbearers will be Wayne Southerland, Tony Ottinger, Wayne Wright, Lee Dunbar, Greg Robinson, and Terry Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be the adult class of Peoples Tabernacle, Dr. Sonja Woods and her staff and the staff of Smokey Mountain Hospice.
