Bill was born May 3, 1954, in Lexington, Nebraska, to Gilbert Raymond and Aurella Emma (Ringenberg) Heine. Bill was raised on a farm outside of Lexington, and attended District #59 rural school. Read More	William Charles “Bill” Heine, 62, of Houston, Texas, died of cancer, Sunday, December 18, 2016, at his home in Houston. Bill was born May 3, 1954, in Lexington, Nebraska, to Gilbert Raymond and Aurella Emma (Ringenberg) Heine. Bill was raised on a farm outside of Lexington, and attended District #59 rural school. He was baptized May 23, 1954, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lexington. He graduated from Concordia Secondary Laboratory School, Seward, Nebraska in 1972. He then went onto to further his education at Concordia Teachers College, Seward, Nebraska, graduating in 1978. He then graduated from the United States Marine Corps Officer Candidate School, Quantico, VA, 1977 (Honorable Discharge, 1978). Bill was married to Melinda Kae Smith on March 24, 1979, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Colorado Springs, Colorado. He taught in Lutheran schools in Illinois and Michigan before entering the seminary to become a pastor. He graduated from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, MO, 1986. He served as a Lutheran pastor and parochial school headmaster for over 30 years in various places: Gregory, South Dakota; Pagosa Springs, Colorado, Stony Plain, Alberta Canada, Sheridan, Wyoming, Concordia, Missouri, and Houston, Texas. Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Melinda; 4 children and their spouses: Katherine and Dylan Malcomb, Sarah and Thomas Seagroatt, Karl and Stanzie Heine, and Susan Heine: 5 grandchildren: Emilia, Aria, Myra, and Viera Malcomb, and Arthur Heine. Bill is also survived by his mother, Aurella Heine, and one sister, Kathleen Hintz. Funeral Services were be held at Memorial Lutheran Church, Houston, Texas on Friday, December 23, 2016, where Bill served as Associate Pastor and Headmaster of Memorial Lutheran School. Interment will be in Hillside Lutheran Cemetery, Dawson County, Nebraska, at 11:00 a.m. that same day, with Reverend James Moshier officiating. Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington is honored to be assisting the family with local arrangements.
