She was born Aug. 28, 1913, in Davis County to Wilmer Wilton and Edith Lillian Carruthers Padget. She married Everet Harold "Jake" Wilkinson March 30, 1932, in Ottumwa. He preceded her in death July 17, 1993. She had been a resident of Davis County for most of her life. She was a past member of the Rebekah Lodge No. 1 in Bloomfield, the Mission Circle Quilting Club and the Troy Card Club. She is survived by two sons: Leon Wilkinson of Bloomfield and Loren Wilkinson of Waukegan, Ill.; six daughters, Laverda Rupe, Hildred Gordy and Hanna Kirby all of Bloomfield, Ladonna Piper of LaMesa, Calif., Lavenia Davis of Des Moines and Lucinda Knock of Maquoketa, 27 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren and a brother Don Padget of Ottumwa. She is preceded in death by her parents; a great-granddaughter; five brothers, Silas, Clell, Lake, Paul and Charles Padget and two sisters Barbara Million and Vetra Covert. Funeral services were at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Wagler Funeral Home with the Rev. James Wakelin officiating. Burial was in the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield. Memorials have been estblished to the Davis County Hospital Long Term Care Activity Fund and the Hospice Room at the Davis County Hospital.
