B.F. Taylor Rev. B.F. Taylor died Thursday night, at his home on Oak street in this city, after an illness of four weeks with typhoid fever. Deceased was a native of Pennsylvania and nearly seventy years of age. For over forty years he was in the ministry of the Methodist Church in Iowa, Colorado and California, but for the past six years, during his residence in Napa, he has been on the superannuated list of preachers. He was best known to the public of this community on account of his strong Prohibition sentiments and his ready way of expressing them. He leaves a widow and one daughter, Mrs. W.F. Moyer. Rev. J.A. Cruzan of Berkeley is his brother in-law. The funeral will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Methodist Church. ---------------- ---------------- The Napa Daily Journal, November 13, 1897 Will of B.F. Taylor The will of the late Benj. F. Taylor has been filed for probate. The estate consists of a one-half undivided interest in 90 acres in the Napa Redwoods valued at $500; a note and mortgage of Morris Cohen, $500; a note and mortgage of W.P. and Elizabeth Corlett, $650; $360 in the Columbian Savings Bank, $250 in the Bank of Napa, and household furniture. The widow is made the sole devisee. ----------------
