Description	:	Rex and Inez Luke Yarger were born in Massena and lived in Massena all of their lives. Rex, the youngest son of John Henry and Clara Lois Denham, was born November 27, 1908. Inez, the youngest daughter of John William and Cora Jane Luke, was born November 2, 1911. They were married October 8, 1929, in the Methodist parsonage in Atlantic, Iowa. Luke's death,... Read More	Rex and Inez Luke Yarger were born in Massena and lived in Massena all of their lives. Rex, the youngest son of John Henry and Clara Lois Denham, was born November 27, 1908. Inez, the youngest daughter of John William and Cora Jane Luke, was born November 2, 1911. They were married October 8, 1929, in the Methodist parsonage in Atlantic, Iowa. At the time they were married, Rex worked for Wagner Produce, later he worked for his brother, Neal, then for J. W. Luke Oil Company. When the oil company was sold at the time of J. W. Luke's death, he started an electric shop with his son, Don, helping him until ill health forced him to sell to Don. Inez worked for the Massena school lunch program for 19 years. Later she worked six years for the Dimig Drug Store in Atlantic, then another six years for the Methodist retirement home (Heritage House) in Atlantic until her retirement. To this union were born three children: Donald Dean of Atlantic, who spent almost four years in the navy; Barbara Ann Karstens of Gallatin, Missouri, who worked several years in the clerk's office in Atlantic; and Lois Jane Krueger of Hancock, Iowa, who worked in Penney's Department Store in Atlantic a few years. All five of the family members graduated from Massena High School.
