Description	:	obit Jan 30, 1952 "Atlantic News-Telegraph", Atlantic, Iowa MASSENA--Miss Ida Yarger died at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Bristow nursing home a few minutes after arrival from the Greenfield hospital, where she had been a patient since Jan 20. Death was attributed to a blood clot which moved to a vital organ. Miss Yarger was the eldest daughter of the late John and Lois Denham Yarger. Death was attributed to a blood clot which moved to a vital organ. Miss Yarger was the eldest daughter of the late John and Lois Denham Yarger. She was born at Massena August 9, 1881, and had spent her entire life here. She graduated from Massena high school in 1898 and during the years held many positions of trust in the community, having been employed in the post office elevator and as a general clerk. At the time of her passing she was the secretary of the board of education and had been the Methodist Sunday school secretary since girlhood. Survivors are two sisters, Mrs Clara Brandon of Milwaukee, Wisc., and Mrs Harold Phipps of Des Moines, and six brothers, Orland, Neal, Harley and Rex Yarger of Massena, John Yarger of Milwaukee and Cecil Yarger of St Louis, Mo., 12 nieces and 10 nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Methodist church in Massena with the Rev. John Alexander in charge and burial will be in the Massena township cemetery. ________________
