Mr. Marion was born in Surry County, June 1, 1937, to Delmar and Carnie McMillian Marion. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and was retired from Carter Utility. Fort Myers, FL, Elizabeth Hyde and husband Mark of High Point; grandchildren: Tara M. Short and husband Chris, Kristi M. Massey and husband Jason, Chyna Blou Bray; great-grandson, Keaton Joel Massey; step grandchildren: T.C. Simpson of Dobson, Logan T. Bare, Nolan W. Bare, Aric C. Rasmusson, all of N. Fort Myers, FL, Rachel V. Hyde and Sarah E. Hyde, both of High Point. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, August 2, 2007, at Piney Grove Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Jimmy Tucker and Rev. Joe Lambert. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 9:00 until the time of the service at the church.
