Description	:	Reynold Keith Berlin, son of Reynold Joseph and Mary Perry Berlin, was born August 26, 1926, on the Platte County farm northeast of St. Edward, which his great-grandfather, John Berlin, homesteaded and where his Granddad taught Keith to milk cows at the early age of 5 years old. Keith attended elementary school at Dist. #62, Palestine, Platte County and graduated from Genoa High School in 1943. Read More	Reynold Keith Berlin, son of Reynold Joseph and Mary Perry Berlin, was born August 26, 1926, on the Platte County farm northeast of St. Edward, which his great-grandfather, John Berlin, homesteaded and where his Granddad taught Keith to milk cows at the early age of 5 years old. Keith attended elementary school at Dist. #62, Palestine, Platte County and graduated from Genoa High School in 1943. He entered the United States Army on June 15, 1951 and served in Korea, until his honorable discharge on June 5, 1953 at which time he had attained the rank of Corporal. Keith was awarded the “Korean Service Medal with 3 Bronze Service Stars” and the “United Nations Service Medal.” On March 17, 1962, Keith was united in marriage to Janice Elaine Cull, at the Methodist Church, in Craig, NE. They made their home on the farm northeast of St. Edward where Keith farmed and worked with the family dairy and farming operation until 1991, when the herd was sold and he retired. He continued to help his neighbor’s milk and farm for a number of years. Janice passed away in January of 1995. Keith continued to live on the farm until he entered Cloverlodge Care Center, in July of 2010. While he stayed there he enjoyed to tease the staff and other residents and always was ready to eat his two or three ice cream cones a day. Keith was a lifelong member of the Welsh Postville Church, but attended Palestine Baptist Church all of his life. He was a member of the American Legion Crosier Post #226 of St. Edward, the National Dairymen Association and Woodville Township Board. Keith loved to sing and was a member of the Palestine Choir where he sang bass, played the saw, and whistled. Keith also loved to hunt in his younger years and enjoyed bowling and belonged to several leagues. Fishing was a lifetime pleasure and attending his grandchildren’s many activities. Keith is survived by one son: Alan (Karen) Weeces and great-granddaughters, Ashley and Samantha of Omaha; daughter: Barbara and his grandchildren Logan and Shelby, and her fiancé Jacob, of Page; daughter: Carla of St. Edward; two sisters: Mary Ellen (Robert) Hancock of Beatrice and Betty Ann (Jerome) Greisen of St. Edward; sister-in-law: Bernetta Berlin of Columbus; two brothers-in-law: Orville Graham of Sequim, WA and Leigh (Dorothy) Cull of Wayne; his loyal dog, Smoochie; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Janice; one sister: Virginia Graham: and one brother: Robert Berlin.
