Rhea was born March 10, 1928 to James Vernon and Helen Marie (Way) Ninemire at Talmo, Kansas. She lived in a rock house (Old Johnson Place) north of Concordia for 9 yrs where she attended grade school at Minersville. Read More	FORMER CONCORDIAN PASSES RHEA LEA MANSFIELD nee NINEMIRE, Pratt, Ks, departed this life to join her beloved husband and her Lord on September 6, 2018, with her daughter at her side. Rhea was born March 10, 1928 to James Vernon and Helen Marie (Way) Ninemire at Talmo, Kansas. She lived in a rock house (Old Johnson Place) north of Concordia for 9 yrs where she attended grade school at Minersville. They moved to the Boden place around March 1942 where she graduated from grade school. She graduated from Miltonvale High School in 1946. She married Austin Dale Mansfield, June 25, 1958 in Perryton, Texas and they made their home in Liberal, Kansas until 1985 when they retired and moved to Colorado. Mr Mansfield passed away in 1997, Hotchkiss, Colorado. Rhea worked in the lab in Concordia Hospital and later at the Country Kitchen prior to moving to Liberal. She was a bookkeeper for Southwest Gas & Equip Co for many years and later worked for Jim Haddock, CPA. After several years she went to work for National Carriers in the proration department. Rhea had moved in June to Iuka to live with her daughter, coming from Concordia, Ks. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, her parents and one sister. She is survived by one daughter, Ila M (Dan) Hittle, of Iuka, Ks, one niece, one nephew in Florida, 4 great nephews and one cousin, Leo Ninemire of Concordia. Two grandchildren, four great-granddaughters and one great, great grandson. She had a kind heart and patient. She will be greatly missed by her family. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Private graveside services will be held at a later date in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Concordia, Kansas next to her beloved husband. The family requests memorials be given to the Kansas Sugar Diabetes Association, Dementia Foundation, Alzheimer Foundation or Kansas Heart Foundation in her memory.
