Rhoda married Charles Overstake on November 23, 1893, at Chillicothe, Wapello County, Iowa. --------------- Obituary From "Ottumwa Courier," February 27, 1950: Native Of County Dies At Age Of 88 Mrs. Rhoda Alice Overstake, 88, of Ottumwa route 6, died Sunday at 6 a.m. at her home. The daughter of Hiram and Dorcus Clark, she was born September 19, 1862, in Wapello county near Chillicothe, and had lived in Wapello county all her life. Mrs. Overstake is survived by her husband, Charles; one son, Bert Overstake of Dravosburg, Pa.; three daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Harness and Mrs. Opal Hildebrand, both of Ottumwa and Mrs. Nell Richards of Chariton; one brother, Adam Clark of Albia; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The body is at the Johnson funeral chapel where services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in charge of the Rev. Roscoe Morrison of the Harding Park Open Bible church. Burial will be in Shaul cemetery.
